Male International Airport is on the island of Hulhule a short boat trip from the bustling capital Male. Directly to the left of the internatinal terminal is domestic. Apart from Male, you can fly to Gan furthest south, Kanimadhoo, Kadedhoo and Hanimadhoo in the far north. The importance of the domestic flight is constantly increasing as more and more resorts open to far away even for seaplane transfer.

I have to admit being rather scetical about this; was it really necessary to get n another flight after a 24 hour trip from Sweden? I was very positively surprised. Maldivian Island Services (Maldvian) offers numerous departures daily and can, ulike seaplnes, fly in the dark. With many international flights arriving and departing late this is extrmely important. Ths way the guests can get to their paradise immediately instead of spending a night at the airport hotel. The airplanes are on the small side, 40-70 seats, and everything is smooth as silk. Professional , kind and safe. Moreover much more comfortable than seaplanes that can be a bit stuffy, hot and noisy. I flew to Hanimadhoo in 45 minutes, not a second longer than it would have taken to get a boat or a seaplane to another resort.
