The world's best snorkeling must be here!
Today we came to Filitheyo. Coming to Filitheyo is like coming to a second home. I really love this island!
As soon as we could, me and my dad took our snporkeling-stuff and swam
out to the house reef, and WOW! what a shock I got: Hundreds of amazing
colorful fishes everywhere!
I had almost forgotten how wonderful this house reef is. Parrotfish,
Clownfish and Blue Tang fish (better known as Dory from Disney's
"Finding Nemo") is here and many, many more.
When we were snorkeling today, I turn my head to the right and caught sight - on a turtle!
Never thought I would see one for real, and I never - never - thought
I get to swim with one. Me and dad swam with it for a while. The
turtle did not seem at all concerned. She (I got the feeling that it
was a she) swam to the surface for air just a meter in front of us and
then she swam down to nip at the corals again. Dad even swam to the
bottom and stroked her. After a little, I thought that she wanted to be
alone. So we waved goodbye and swam away.
My track record on house reefs is perhaps not that good. But I think
that I should be able to appoint Filitheyos house reef to be
outstanding. I would nominate it as unbeatable. That is at least what I
think. Both the quantity and concentration of fish is infinite. After
just one dive, I have seen at least 10 new species of fish. And I hope
to see even more!
