As if the world's most beautiful surroundings and the warmest, kindest most serviceminded people I have ever been lucky enough to meet wasn't enough, is now added a world class SPA.
Filitheyo Resort has recently opened a new spa. Huge pavillions with private gardens behind high walls consist of airconditioned rooms for treatments with all the mod cons. Vast glass walls that can be slid back for a taste of nature. In the back garden an amazing bathroom under the pale blue sky. The spa menu offers an infinite amount of treatments, and if a treatment is said to be 90 minutes it is just that. While my ecological mango facial is working it's magic, I get hypnotized by arm- and handmassage.
The girls working here are from Bali, a place with longstanding, proud traditions of pampering their fellow man. Suberbly skilled with a feeling of love in their tiny, but super strong hands. Having been fortunate enough to try some of the most spectacular spas in the Maldives I still can't help but give the highest marks possible to Filitheyo Spa. In the Maldives, swarming with sensational spas, this is quite a feat. After two lovely visits (in 4 days) we have already booked the next one. Then we will be spoiled rotten in the Al fresco spa with the Maldivian breeze adding to the heavenly experience. God, I feel lika a million dollars already!
